On August 13, 2025, a delegation led by Hu Jia, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Sinopec Cangzhou Refinery (hereinafter referred to as Canglian), visited the circular economy industrial base of Haijiang Group, conducting systematic exploration and dialogue on the topic of chemical recycling of waste plastics.
Secretary Hu Jia and his delegation paid an in-depth visit to the base's 5G Intelligent Command Center, observed and explored the group's digital operation system, and expressed appreciation for Haijiang Group's intelligent construction in the field of circular economy.
At the subsequent symposium, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions focusing on such aspects as the research background, significance, current status of technological development, development potential of waste plastic chemical recycling, progress in this field both at home and abroad, and the situation of the demonstration base for waste plastic chemical recycling in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Secretary Hu Jia pointed out that currently, Cangzhou Refinery is at a critical juncture of transformation and upgrading in traditional industries. In accordance with the group's overall requirements of prioritizing safety, environmental protection and maximizing benefits, and relying on the strategic support from the provincial Party committee, provincial government as well as Sinopec Group, Cangzhou Refinery has clearly identified waste plastic chemical recycling as a core growth driver for its transformation and upgrading. He emphasized that Haijiang Group's practices in waste plastic chemical recycling are remarkable, and expressed the hope that in the future, they will carry out multi-faceted cooperation with Haijiang Group focusing on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. By leveraging Haijiang Group's technological advantages and market resource advantages, they aim to inject intelligent impetus into the subsequent development of Cangzhou Refinery.
Liu Haijiang, Chairman of Haijiang Group, introduced the group's strategic layout of "one center and three bases" with its Beijing headquarters as the center, and bases in Cangzhou (Hebei), Jinshan (Shanghai) and Huizhou (Guangdong). Relying on the stable cooperation foundation and technological accumulation with state-owned enterprises and central enterprises, Haijiang has formed advantages in the circular economy industrial cluster. The group will focus on tapping potential and increasing efficiency in resource recycling in the fields of industry, civil use, home appliances and automobile manufacturing, so as to lay a solid technical and market foundation for long-term cooperation. He expressed expectation that both parties would take this exchange on chemical recycling of waste plastics as a starting point to deepen resource sharing in multiple fields.
